Nelson Matoma

Nelson Matoma is a Sydney-based illustrator and caricature artist with a background in graphic design and a passion for storytelling through art. Originally from Colombia, Nelson has illustrated children’s books for publishers including McGraw Hill and Prentice Hall, and his work has been exhibited across the USA, South America, and Australia.

Nelson holds a Master’s degree in Graphic Design from the University of Wollongong and currently teaches design and illustration at Enmore Design Centre in Sydney.

With years of experience drawing live caricatures at weddings, corporate events, and festivals, Nelson brings joy and energy to every sketch — creating fun, memorable keepsakes for guests of all ages.
